Personal Papers of Thomas Weiss 1967-2000

Thomas Weiss is an emeritus professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Kansas. He earned a BS from Holy Cross College in 1964 and a PhD from the University of North Carolina in 1967. He began teaching at KU in 1967. He was the director of the Economics Graduate Program and Associate Chair from 1974-80 and 1987-88. He was the chair of the Economics department from 1980-85. He was the recipient of numerous research grants and edited/authored/co-authored three books and a large number of articles. His research primarily deals with 19th century American labor and economic history. This collection contains research materials and some course materials.
