The papers in this collection are of Clenece Hills, a teacher in the Lawrence, Kansas Public School system. This collection of her papers reflects this activity, containing In-Service notes, Results Based Staff Development materials, and District Improvement Team information. There are several additional boxes that contain materials relating to her family history and genealogy, as well as her roles on the Douglas County Historical Society Board of Directors and on the Trinity Episcopal Church vestry.The collection also contains the papers of Mildred Seaman (1903-1974) who was a lobbyist for the University of Kansas and the program director of KANU at KU. These papers contain a letter in French dated April 27, 1926, certifying Seaman's work; a certificate from The Summer Radio Institute at Northwestern University; and the program and a newspaper clipping from Seaman's 1927 senior piano recital.
