Morris Kahn was born in 1893 in Geinsheim (Gross-Gerau), Germany to Sigmund and Sophie Kahn née Eppinger. Morris served in the army from 1916 to 1918. Ida Kahn (née Levy) was born in Nieder-Florstadt to Gustav and Amalie Levy in 1901. In 1924, Ida and Morris were married in Nieder-Florstadt.
