Coray, Howard, 1817-1908

Howard Coray was born on May 6, 1817, in Stevens County, New York. He married Martha Jane Knowlton in Illinois in 1841. The Corays moved to Utah in 1850, and Howard served on the board of directors as Brigham Young University. He was also a missionary, secretary to Joseph Smith, school teacher, books keeper, and accountant, among other occupations. Coray died in Salt Lake City on January 16, 1908.
