George Potter Darrow was a United States Representative from Pennsylvania. Born in Waterford, Connecticut in 1859, he graduated from Alfred University in 1880. In 1888 he moved to Philadelphia, where he engaged in banking, paint manufacture, and the insurance business. He served as school board president for Philadelphia, 1906-1909 and was a member of the Philadelphia Common Council, 1910-1915, before election to the United States Congress.
