Joseph C. Farley Sr. was a charter member of the Philadelphia Second Alarmers Association, a volunteer group which provides aid to the Philadelphia Fire Department. The Joseph C. Farley Sr. scrapbooks, 1898-1985, consist of over 100 scrapbooks focused on fire incidents in Philadelphia and the history of fire fighting.
