Evelyn Ruth Millis Duvall (1906-1998) was a pioneer in the field of family development. In 1950, Duvall published one of the first books on dating for young adults, Facts of Life and Love for Teenagers. She was executive director of the National Council on Family Relations from 1945 to 1951 and lectured at various national and international universities between 1954 and 1969.
