Hart - Lester Harris (1891 - 1984) was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on November 7, 1891 to Henrietta (Harris, Class of 1888) and William Harris. She attended Miss Porter's School in Springfield before enrolling at Smith College in 1909. Attending Smith College had become a family tradition as her mother and sisters Ambia (Class of 1919) and Harriet attended. Hart married Joseph Allen and moved to Holyoke.
