Robert Granville Caldwell was an American professor and public official. Born in Bogota, Colombia, to American parents, Caldwell attended to the College of Wooster and received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1912. His area of study was Latin America, and he worked in academia for several years before turning to government.
