Charles Dickens letters and portrait 1842-1868

The papers consist of two notes from author Charles Dickens to Samuel Ward, dated February, 1842; one letter to J. J. Field dated 20 January, 1846; and one to James T. Field dated 11 December, 1867, all relating to social calls. Also present is a large portrait of Charles Dickens by J. Gurney & Son, signed by Dickens, Philadelphia, Feb. 13, 1868, and several autographs
