Bibliographical Society of America Sabin Committee records 1923-1948 1929-1936

The Bibliographical Society of America's Sabin Committee was formed in 1925 to complete A Dictionary of Books Relating to America which had been compiled by Joseph Sabin from 1867 to 1881. The dictionary was completed in 1936. Collection consists of correspondence, reports, bibliographical notes, and other papers relating to Sabin's A Dictionary of Books Relating to America. Bulk of the correspondence and reports was written by H.M. Lydenberg, chairman of the committee that had the responsibility for completing publication of the unfinished volumes.
