Sydney Gruson was a reporter, editor, and executive at The New York Times between 1944 and 1986. The Sydney Gruson papers document Gruson's tenure as Times senior vice president, executive vice president, and the vice chairman of the board of directors between 1974 and his retirement in 1986.
