John Henry Pyle Pafford was Goldsmiths' Librarian of the University of London Library from 1945 to 1967. He published works on librarianship, including 'Library Cooperation in Europe' (1935) and 'American and Canadian Libraries: some notes on a visit in the summer of 1947' (1949), and acted as an editor of 'The Year's Work in Librarianship' during 1939-1950.
