Andrew Patrick Joseph Curran was born around 1917 and was educated at the University of Glasgow . He gained the qualifications BSc in 1937 ; MB ChB in 1940 ; DPH in 1948 ; and MD in 1960 . Curran went on to become Deputy Medical Officer of Health in Luton and West Ham and then Senior Lecturer in Community Medicine in the University of Glasgow. Curran was then a Senior Research Fellow in Public Health in the University of Glasgow. He died in 1996 . From the guide to the Papers of Andr...
