Reginald Ernest Redman was born in 1892, and excelled in the study of the history and philosophy of music, as well as its composition. A student of opera, choral works, and Chinese classical music in particular, Redman lectured on these topics to Choral Societies, interested groups, and for broadcast throughout the 1950s.
