Francis Robert Buchanan Stewart was born in c.1905 . His father was also a lawyer. He entered the University of Glasgow aged 18 and was a student from 1923-1926 . In his first year, 1923-1924, he studied Civil Law, Forensic Medicine. The following year, 1924-1925, he studied Scots Law and Public International Law. He graduated BL in 1926 , and LLB in 1926 . These are Economic History lecture notes, possibly a lecturer's own notes. There are 6 notebooks within a slipcase. On the slipcase is written in pencil "Dr James Cunnison? Alec Macfie?" The identification of the author of these notes is not certain. There is one letter within volume 6 addressed to Dr Cunnison, but without a comparison of handwriting it has not possible to assign these notes to Dr Cunnison. References within the notes would indicate that they were written after 1924. ...
