The identification of the author of these notes is not certain. There is one letter within volume 6 addressed to Dr Cunnison, but without a comparison of handwriting it has not possible to assign these notes to Dr Cunnison. References within the notes would indicate that they were written after 1924. ...

When Queen Margaret College, Glasgow , Scotland, was opened in 1883 as a female college it had no residential facilities for its students. In 1894 , Queen Margaret Hall Ltd was incorporated as a limited liability company with a capital of £3000 to establish and carry on a hall of residence for women students.
