The brothers Josef (1819-1893) and Wenceslas (1821-1899) Zavertal studied music at the Prague Conservatorium, Czech Republic, while Wenceslas's son, Ladislao, studied mainly in Italy. Wenceslas was a friend of the composer Wolfgang Amedeus Mozart's son, Karl, who gave him various Mozart relics.
