Francis John MacCunn ( c1887-1915 ) graduated from the University of Oxford, England, BA in 1911 and Blitt in 1912. He then worked as an assistant within the department of History at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, from 1912 and in 1914 published his main work, The Contemporary English View of Napoleon (London: Bell, 1914).
