Agionly Ross Carson was born in 1780 . He studied at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland until 1797 . He was then appointed headmaster of Dumfries Grammar School, Dumfries, Scotland, in 1801 . He became the classical master of Edinburgh High School, Edinburgh, in 1806, and the rector of that school in 1820 . He received his LLD from the University of St Andrews, St Andrews, Scotland, in 1826 . He retired from his position of rector of Edinburgh High School in 1845. He died in 1850. ...
