Professor John Waugh Scott received his MA from the University of Glasgow Scotland, in 1903, from which he graduated with first class honours in Mental Philosophy. He was appointed lecturer in moral philosophy at the University of Glasgow from 1905-1920 . From 1920-1944, he held the position of Professor of Logic and Moral Philosophy at the University of Cardiff, Wales.
