This series consists of motion picture films and video recordings of Coast Guard activities, history, search and rescue missions, law enforcement, drug busts, oil spills and cleanup, cutters, light stations, and icebreakers. Also included is information on the Coast Guard Auxiliary, boating safety, navigation, lighthouses, the Coast Guard Academy, training, equipment, radar, the sailing ship "Eagle," the Coast Guard Band, aircraft, drug and alcohol abuse, and women in the Coast Guard. The series also contains public service announcements by television and sports celebrities.

Eddie Cantor was born Edward Israel Iskowitz on January 31, 1892 in New York City. He was orphaned at age of two and raised by his grandmother. Cantor was a vaudeville performer and singing waiter and appeared in Gus Edwards' Kid Kabaret, in Ziegfeld's Midnight Frolics in 1916 and star in successive Ziegfeld Follies, 1917-1919. He starred in two silent films, Kid Boots (1926) and Special Delivery (1927); had own radio show through the 1930s, and was the highest paid radio star by 1936. After a h...
