This series consists of correspondence, notes, memoranda, publications and other materials relating to the National Commission on the Observance of International Women's Year 1975 relationships with nongovernmental organizations. Records relate to the activities of those organizations, the activities of the Commission, the Equal Rights Amendment, disarmament, sex, gender and racial discrimination and international relations. Many of the organizations with which the Commission corresponded shared a degree of common ground and were interested in building coalitions or establishing mutual support. The records were maintained by the Executive Director's Office.
