This series consists of school reports and related records. The records include statistical reports and related correspondence providing information on matters related to Fort Totten Indian School. Topics covered in the records include school activities, enrollment, and attendance; school employees, finance and administration; Agency day schools; Indian land sales and leases; grazing permits; Indian allotments; agriculture and the Agency farm; and fires. The correspondents include the Office of Indian Affairs. The records include lists of “Indian Children Ineligible to Attend Schools for Normal Children;” lists of purchases for equipment and supplies made on the open market; schedules of school activities; and programs from commencement ceremonies. The records include monthly summaries of meteorological conditions at the Agency weather station, submitted on standard forms to the Weather Bureau. The records include reports from the Agency Field Matron, submitted on forms, providing information on the daily life and activities of Indian women living at Fort Totten Agency, such as training in infant and child care.
