This series consists of copies of letters sent, letters received, vouchers, receipts, telegrams, circulars, and newspaper clippings. The correspondence is primarily with merchants and businessmen, and to a lesser extent, with day school employees, New Mexico Territorial and State officials, and the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Although the records relate primarily to finance and administration, they also include information on individual Indians, school curriculum, the employment of students on Colorado farms, and the day schools and Indians in the northern pueblos. Many alphabetical segments have not been located.
