This series contains student case files divided into seven subseries. Subseries 1, 1919-1949, consists primarily of pre-printed forms containing basic biographical information, test scores, and ratings in various subjects. One form may cover several years of school. Subseries 2, 1924-1946, contains only four folders, Robert Aguilar, Sarah Sirecch, Bruce E. Tupper, and Mildred and Ruby Wilder. Subseries 3, 1928-1956, is much larger and the records vary considerably but may include application for admission, record of progress forms, and correspondence with parents and other agency officials. The correspondence relates to such matters as student's transportation to and from school, student's disappearance from school, etc. The information provided by these records also varies considerably but may include basic biographic information about the student such as age, address, degree of Indian blood, tribe; parents' names, address, tribe and blood; test scores, ratings and/or grades in various subjects; dates of attendance and completion of grade levels, and teacher comments. Subseries 4, 1938-1976, consists of Navajo and non-Navajo student files and may include application for enrollment, grade reports, parental consents, achievement test scores, transcripts, and attendance cards. Subseries 5, 1947-1958, consists of Navajo student files. Subseries 6, 1951-1962, consists of Navajo and non-Navajo student files. Subseries 7, 1965-1980 includes applications for enrollment, grade reports, parental consent, achievement test scores, transcripts, and attendance cards.
