This series consists of records of personal data and performance evaluations of students on Form 5-186. Entry sheets list student's name, age, degree of Indian blood, tribe, names of parents, home address, and distance from public schools. Information relative to student's time at school includes a record of attendance, grades, and remarks about performance. Volumes exist for grades 3 to 9.

Mount Pleasant Indian Industrial Boarding School in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, was established by an act of the United States Congress in 1891. This provided funding for creation of an education system of off-reservation boarding schools and vocational training centers to educate Native American children.
