John Lindquist (1890-1980) was a Boston area photographer who concentrated on dance-related photography. He was a lover of dance and theater, and in his early days as a photographer supported himself as a head cashier at Filenes. He began photographing Ted Shawn and his men dancers in 1938 and was the official photographer for the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival for four decades, from 1940 until his death.
