This film covers the first American tour of the 94-piece Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Included are scenes from a formal welcome dinner and concert that was presented by the American Fund for Israel Institutions and held at the Waldorf Astoria New York. During the dinner, remarks are given by Dr. Serge Koussevitzky; Robert P. Patterson, former U.S. Secretary of War; and Abba Eban, Israeli ambassador to the U.S. The film closes with a performance of Brahms' "Symphony No. 4" under the direction of Leonard Bernstein.
