Primarily correspondence of United States House of Representative of New York State, Congressman Isaac Siegal (1915-1923) with the United States War Department (1917-1919) and the Jewish Welfare Board (later The National Jewish Welfare Board) regarding personnel and especially Jewish personnel in the Armed Forces, including letters from John J. Pershing and Secretary of the Navy Franklin D. Roosevelt; also includes correspondence relating to immigration, among which are letters from Louis Marshall; and letters on the observance of Flag Day and Lincoln's Birthday. Also, a paper on "The Jews in China" in manuscript, and copies of published articles and a radio address.

Isaac Siegel (April 12, 1880 – June 29, 1947) was an American lawyer, jurist, and politician. He notably served as the U.S. Representative from New York's 20th congressional district from 1915 to 1923. Born in New York City, he attended the public schools before graduating from New York University School of Law in 1901 and being admitted to the bar on May 26, 1902.
