The papers of Gladys and Saul Weinberg, 1930-1980, consisting of correspondence, notes, and photographs provide information about their archaeological—field and scholarly—work in Greece, esp. in Corinth and Elateia. Their photographs taken either by Gladys or Saul—mostly in the 1930’s—document a large number of Greek archaeological sites, as well as activities of friends and local people.

Weinberg, Gladys Davidson, 1909-2002

Gladys Davidson Weinberg was born in 1909 in New York City to Israel and Carrie Dreyfuss Davidson. Her father was a scholar of medieval Hebrew literature and served on the faculty of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. She completed her undergraduate studies at New York University in 1930 and joined the Johns Hopkins University expedition to Olynthus.
