Rear Admiral Thaddeus Johnson Van Metre (1907-2003) was a member of the U.S. Navy from 1930 until the end of World War II.Thaddeus Johnson Van Metre (b. 1907), a 1930 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, commanded the HILARY P.
