Nonprofit executive and Olympics athlete Anita DeFrantz (1952- ) was captain of the American rowing team at the 1976 Summer Olympics, winning the bronze medal. She also serves as presidency of the LA84 Foundation and senior adviser for Legacy at the Los Angeles organizing committee for the 2028 summer Olympic Games. In 1970, she graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
