Poet Nikki Giovanni (1943 - ) was the author of fourteen volumes of poetry and several books. She also taught writing, poetry and literature in the English department at Virginia Polytechnical Institute. Giovanni was interviewed by The HistoryMakers on 1/31/2003, in Chicago, Illinois.
