This series consists primarily of clippings collected by Morris Bartel Schnapper. Besides the clippings, the series contains a small amount of press releases, letters, newsletters, and other printed material. Topics reflected in the material include the 1964 campaign and election, President Lyndon B. Johnson, the Vietnam War, poverty and poverty programs, international relations, foreign aid, the budget, the economy, and labor. The Washington Post, the Republican Congressional Committee, and the Democratic National Committee are some of the organizations that published materials contained in the series. There are also reports from the National Bureau of Economic Research and material from the Council for Democracy.
