Land Use Records, 1855 - 1920

This series contains correspondence concerning land use on reservations of the Puyallup Indian Agency and the Cushman Indian School. The earliest records are "Notification of Settlers on Unsurveyed Land" from the Surveyor General, General Land Office in Washington Territory. The notifications were for white settlers who settled on reservation land prior to the establishment of the Puyallup Indian Agency. Other records include Puyallup Reservation allotment locations; land leases on the reservations; and the schedule of damages for rights of way across allotted land.
