Correspondents: Robert Browning, Joseph W[oodfall] Ebsworth, F[rederick] G[ard] Fleay, J[ohn] W[illiam] Jarvis, [Henry Morley], [Robert] Roberts, A.C. [Algernon Charles] Swinburne and another. The majority of the letters are to Ebsworth and discuss details of the early texts Grosart was publishing. Ebsworth helped with the woodcuts and notes. The letters to Browning ask him, as president of the New Shakespere Society, to restrain Furnivall in his attacks on Swinburne.
