Dr. Lucile Charles was born in Chicago and graduated from the University of Chicago in 1930. During the 1930s she was coordinator of a radio drama series for the Columbia Broadcasting System. Between 1946 and 1953 Dr. Charles taught and was director of Dramatic Arts at East Carolina College.
