Morgan, Thomas Gibbes, 1799-1861
Variant namesBaton Rouge lawyer and judge, he married Eliza Ann McKennan. They had one son, Philip Hicky Morgan, before she died. He then married Sarah Fowler in 1830, and they had eight children: Eliza Ann Lanoue, Lavinia Marie Drum (1832-1912), Captain Thomas Gibbes, Jr. (1837-1864), George Mather (d. 1863), Harry Waller (d. 1861), Sarah Fowler Dawson (1842-1909), Miriam Dupre, and James Morris.
