Cherokee woman, educated at Brainerd Mission (established 1817 by American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions to train and educate Cherokee Indian children at what is now Chattanooga, Tenn., closed in 1838 when the U.S. Government removed the Cherokee peoples West), later returning to the Cherokee Nation where she died shortly thereafter.
