The ballet L'homme et son desir, based on a text by Paul Claudel, was created for Nijinsky, with music by Darius Milhaud, choreography by Claudel, and sets and costumes by Audrey Parr. The ballet was composed in 1917 while Claudel was French minister to Brazil and Darius Milhaud served as his secretary.
