Pine, John Buckley, 1857-1922.
Variant namesJohn Pine graduated from Columbia University in 1877. From 1879 he practiced law in New York City and was a Trustee of Columbia University for 32 years from 1890. Pine also served as secretary of the Board of Trustees, chairman of the Committee on Character as appointed by the Supreme Court (1908-1909) and was involved in numerous other organizations and clubs. Pine was also a founder and editor from 1897 of the Columbia University Quarterly.
