Sununu, Christopher T. (Christopher Thomas), 1974-
Christopher Thomas Sununu (born November 5, 1974) is an American politician and engineer who has served as the 82nd governor of New Hampshire since 2017. A member of the Republican Party, Sununu was previously a member of the New Hampshire Executive Council from 2011 to 2017.
Born in Salem, New Hampshire, Sununu graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology before earning a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has served as chief executive officer of the Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire. Sununu is a son of former New Hampshire Governor and White House Chief of Staff John H. Sununu, and a younger brother of former U.S. Representative and Senator John E. Sununu.
In January 2021, Sununu began his third term as governor of New Hampshire, one term short of the modern record of four served by John Lynch from 2005 to 2013.
