Terrance John Cox (born July 18, 1963) is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the U.S. Representative for California's 21st congressional district from 2019 to 2021.

Born in Walnut Creek, California, he earned a B.S. from the University of Nevada at Reno and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Cox worked as an engineer and non-profit executive, starting two businesses that process nuts. He unsuccessfully ran for the United States House of Representatives in California's 19th congressional district in the 2006 election. In 2017, Cox began a second congressional bid, initially in California's 10th congressional district before withdrawing there to run in California's 21st district, narrowly defeating incumbent Republican David Valadao. In the 116th Congress, Cox sat on the Committees on Agriculture and Natural Resources. In a 2020 rematch with Valadao, Cox narrowly lost. Shortly after his loss, he announced his intention to run for the same seat in 2022.
