He was born on the 28th day of the 6th month, 1740 (Old Style). The son of Ebenezer and Sarah Miller, his siblings were William, John, Sarah, and Rebekah. He was married first to Mary Redman and then to Phebe Foster. He died on the 9th day of the 11th month, 1800 at the age of 61.
