Burroughs, Samuel, 1742-1793
Samuel Burroughs was a Quaker associated with Haddonfield Monthly Meeting and Medford and Upper Evesham Monthly Meeting. He was born to Samuel and Ann Burroughs on the 15th of the 7th month 1742 (new style). In 1756 he married Sarah, daughter of Jacob and Lydia Lamb; they had seven children named Abel, Samuel, Eber, Thomas, Lydia, Sarah, and Samuel. Burroughs died on April 29, 1793.
