Burroughs, Samuel, 1742-1793

Samuel Burroughs was a Quaker from southwestern New Jersey. He was born to Samuel and Ann Burroughs on the 4th day of 5th month, 1742, old style (July 15, new style). In 1766 he married Sarah Lamb, daughter of Jacob and Lydia; they had seven children named Abel, Samuel, Eber, Thomas, Lydia, Sarah, and Samuel. Burroughs was a member of Haddonfield Monthly Meeting and Upper Evesham Monthly Meeting. He died on April 29, 1793.
