Loewi, Adolph
Variant namesLoewi was an antiquities dealer and a long-time friend of Alma Mahler; he and his wife had known Alma during her stays in Venice before the war and they continued their friendship with her in California. Andrew C. Ritchie was the chief representative in Austria for the Monuments, Fine Arts and Archives Section of the U.S. Army, and the addressee of Loewi's letter.
