Professor Johannes Sievers, father of Australian photographer Wolfgang Sievers, was an art and architectural historian with the German Foreign Office until his dismissal by the Nazi government in 1933.

From the description of Papers relating to the biography of Johannes Sievers, 1917-1968 [manuscript]. 1917-1968. (Libraries Australia). WorldCat record id: 749110032

Hanna Sievers was apparently Johannes's wife. The correspondence reflects that in 1932 Sievers was acquainted with Alma Mahler and Franz Werfel, as well as Alma's stepfather, Carl Moll, and her half-sister Maria Eberstaller. Adolph Loewi, an antiquities dealer, was a mutual friend of Alma and Sievers; at the time of the correspondence in 1945, Loewi was living in California.

From the description of Correspondence to Alma Mahler, 1932, 1946. (University of Pennsylvania Library). WorldCat record id: 155864483
