The Corvallis, Oregon, Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was chartered by the national organization on January 11, 1971 with the mission to improve the "political, educational, social, and economic status of minority groups within the Corvallis area". Calvin O.L. Henry was elected the first Corvallis Branch president.
